Matcha is the shade grown, stone ground green tea powder of Japan. Often referred to as the 'espresso of tea,' matcha contains a noteworthy level of caffeine, and is special in that the entire tea leaf is consumed, giving clean energy balanced with a sense of focus attributed to the amino acid L-theanine.

In this gift set you will find a collection of some of our classic favorite ceremonial-grade matcha, as well as a full suite of matcha teaware and accessories to prepare matcha in the traditional style. Whisk 15 sec
Traditional Preparation

Using an Everyday Matcha Sifter, sift 1 tsp (1.5g) into a tea bowl.
Add 2.5 oz (75ml) water at 160°F.
Whisk until creamy and foamy with a bamboo chasen (whisk).

Whisk Teahouse Matcha with water to appreciate its full profile, or use it for iced matcha and a lightly sweetened latte. As tencha matcha, it can also be combined with Japanese sencha for a layered cup of creamy body and structured leaf-tea character.
