About

Matcha is the shade grown, stone ground green tea powder of Japan. Often referred to as the 'espresso of tea,' matcha contains a noteworthy level of caffeine, and is special in that the entire tea leaf is consumed, giving clean energy balanced with a sense of focus attributed to the amino acid L-theanine.     A complete starter set...

    A complete starter set up with good directions. Very beautiful packaging also (would make a nice gift to send). Just learning about matcha, so I have no evaluation to make of the tea itself. Seems very high quality!

    An exceptional set for the value price

    This is an exceptional set for the price. Beautifully packaged and consisting of very high quality tea ware, this would make an especially lovely gift for someone just learning the tea ceremony or getting into Japanese tea ritual. The illustrated guide included in the set is a nice touch.

    Beautiful set- makes a nice gift too

    Beautiful set. Huge box! Wasn’t expecting that. I bought this set as a gift for my daughter, on a special discount time. She’s been wanting to make matcha tea at home and hasn’t been successful with other brands yet and wanted a real chasen. Beautiful gift and what a deal too!
