About this tea
Brilliant indigo blue butterfly pea flower adds vibrant color to floral Four Seasons Spring oolong tea from Taiwan. The addition of fragrant lemongrass and bright, juicy dried lemon turns the butterfly pea into a luscious, luminous shade of purple. The blend is finished with the cold pressed essential oil of fresh cedrat citrus, which has an ancient history and is prized everywhere from South China to the Mediterranean for its sweet, floral and zesty top notes.

Around the world, Taiwan is well-known as a country that produces highly specialized teas. The Mingjian Village is situated in the central highlands of Nantou, Taiwan and the gardens here are incredible. Jui Lung focuses on the importance of allowing nature to nurture the grounds. This can be seen in one of the small Wu-Yi gardens, which has Hong Yu 18 trees on the borders, culinary herbs between the tea bush rows and plenty of nitrogen fixing “weeds” to maintain healthy and living soils all surrounding the tea bushes.

    Lovely tea

    Lovely tea . I have a hard time with certain tea blends . However, reissue tea is so well balanced and I don’t have the feeling of over whelming flavors from certain herbs .

    I knew to expect this tea to be pretty with the butterfly pea flower, but scent/taste was even better than expected. Very impressed with the freshness, and even more so with the customer service team. Will definitely be ordering again!

    I have been unsucessfully searching for lower caffeine options and was very pleased to discover several interesting teas at Rishi including the Blue Oolong….very flavorful and robust!

    I rarely write reviews...

    I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to share my experience on this tea. It's a beautiful purple, but it tastes mainly of citric acid and lemongrass. I can't taste the oolong at all. The citric acid is so strong that I fear it will damage my dental enamel. I tried using it to make lemonade iced tea, but the purple hue (its only strength) turns hazy and dingy. Unfortunately I optimistically bought a big bag, so I'm not sure what I'll do with it . . .
