Wild apple, hinoki, herbaceous, malty and soothing

Olive leaf tea has a rich history in ancient Mediterranean civilizations, where fresh and dried olive leaves were brewed as a traditional folk remedy. Eventually, olive leaf tea and extracts of olive leaves were formally documented for medicinal use in the 19th century.

Freshly picked and low-temperature air-dried olive leaves yield a pale-green tea-like infusion that is herbaceous, with a complex aroma and taste. Similar to tea and wine, olive leaves contain polyphenols that contribute to the body, structure, aftertaste and aromatic complexity associated with these refined and historic beverages. Olive leaf tea has resinous and woodsy aromatics with refreshing hints of cut grass, rosemary, savory herbs and green apple. The flavor has a bitter green core and a warm, woody finish.

Elegant and delightfully herbal, our Olive Leaf Black Tea blend delivers a malty, smooth and honeyed infusion layered with notes of Hinoki cypress, wild apple and Mediterranean botanicals.
