What makes a great breakfast tea? Our buyers have spent years studying tea bush cultivars that present the most robust character, bright red cup color and awakening aromatics. Through extensive travel and tasting, we have found some of the very best in the Assamica gardens in Thailand's remote northern mountains. This unique origin yields an English Breakfast that is full-bodied, lively and brisk with accents of raspberry and lingonberry. Perfectly balanced on its own or gratifying when smoothed out to taste with milk and sugar.

Tasting Notes: Lively, robust red cup with a brisk flavor and sweet caramel undertones.

Ingredients: Organic black tea

South and Southeast Asia
Each year we taste black teas from multiple origin points throughout Southeast Asia to form our signature English Breakfast blend. Some origins offer fruity sweetness and bright red color while others offer a refined briskness and malty characte

This is a great tea. Very nice flavor. We use it at work to help us make it through the very long hours.

This is a great tea for sipping early in the morning. I like to make a cup, add local honey and cream, and sit back and relax for a bit. It's definitely one of the best teas Rishi has.

Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon China breakfast's more astringent, more robust brother
By James Liu on June 15, 2017

This is only slightly cheaper than the China Breakfast, and the China breakfast is much better, smoother drinking tea when brewed hot. So why does this one also get a five-star review?

Because the English breakfast's greater astringency also reveals itself as greater robustness. So if you like milk in your tea, you'll get more tea flavor from this one. I use it for cold brew iced tea. Brewing in cold water likewise mutes the astringency, and the extra tea-flavor really matters when it's chilled.

So between this and the China breakfast, it's really finding what you like for what purpose.

Love this breakfast tea. I need very little to get a strong pot of tea! Nice whole leaves. Amazing to get in this country. And I only drink organic. Thank you for that!

I love the savoury flavour of your English Breakfast Tea. It's the perfect breakfast accompaniment and I drink a pot of it every single morning without fail. It's a smooth yet bold black tea which perfectly balances out sweetness from fruit or preserves in the morning.
