Organic Japanese sencha offers an invigorating and refreshing flavor

Sencha is the traditional, daily steamed green tea of Japan. Our Sencha is made from prized tea bush cultivars including Saemidori and Okumidori and is a blend of the first and second flush harvests from organic farms on Kyushu Island in southern Japan. Kyushu's mineral rich volcanic soil, coupled with skillful organic soil management, creates a sweet and full-bodied green tea flavor. This chumushi sencha yields a slightly opaque, bold green infusion with deep umami and juicy mouthfeel.

    Rishi's Sencha is the standard when it comes to green tea.

    Rishi Sencha tea offers a subtle sweetness to go along with the savory tone of the tea. It has become a staple in my tea cabinet. I've been drinking tea for many decades and am at the point where I only drink Rishi now. The folks at Rishi know their craft!

    Excellent Taste and Quality

    I am really enjoying this tea. For someone like me who’s sensitive to caffeine but wants to drink green tea for the health benefits. This is perfect! No jitters for me, even on an empty stomach. I love that it’s organic and it comes in a nice sachet. It looks so fresh, like they took the leaves, crumbled them up and put them in the sachet.

    I first tried this brand at a restaurant. I had the Jasmine green tea. It was so good as well. It’s a medium caffeine level. Which I still enjoyed. But for everyday, I really like the Japanese Sencha.
