A vibrant green tea for all seasons, showcasing notes of toasted chestnut and fresh florals
Unlike most Dragon Well teas, which are still produced in Hangzhou, ours is sourced off the beaten path in Xuan'en—a remote county in Hubei, China, shaped by pine forests and beautiful rolling, rocky hinterlands. The heirloom tea trees growing here are cultivated by families belonging to a thriving organic tea-farming cooperative we’ve worked with for years.
During processing, artisans press, shape and smooth the tea leaves by hand against a hot wok to create Dragon Well’s signature blade-like shape and beloved toasted chestnut aroma. Refreshing and mentally clarifying, it has a cooling quality even when served hot—an ideal cup for any season, any time of day.
Xuan'en, Hubei, China
Hubei, China
Grown amidst a pristine natural environment, the teas from China's southwestern Hubei province have been known for centuries as a top tea region. We began sourcing teas from this region in the early 2000's and were among the first tea companies to help establish organic certification among the hundreds of family tea farms organized into a co-op system. The sub-tropical continental region has a misty mountain climate, encouraging the tea plants to grow slowly, concentrating their dewy flavor and producing a really special quality not found in common tea farms.

Best green tea I have had. Organic, excellent taste. Tea leaves not in small little pieces like most green teas, these actually look like leaves. I will order again.
