Step out of the ordinary with Barista Matcha, our organic first and second harvest matcha with assertive strength and culinary versatility. Mix with milk for a latte that can be sweetened to taste or boost smoothies, juice and hot chocolate with natural energizing affects you don't experience every day. Or treat yourself to our decadently delicious Matcha Oreo Filling Recipe, an uplifting and refreshing Matcha Mojito Recipe or explore all of our matcha recipes. The traditional cultivation of tencha requires shading the tea garden for 3-4 weeks prior to harvest. This elevates chlorophyll and enhances L-theanine and other stimulating amino acids responsible for matcha's unique bounty of energy.

Kagoshima Prefecture is located at the southwest tip of Kyushu (the third largest island of Japan) and is largely mountainous and home to important lumber, fishing and agriculture industries. Much like the rest of Japan, this region has well manicured tea gardens with well-developed irrigation, and farmers follow strict growing procedures to produce this perfect tea bush shape and size.

    High quality matcha

    My daughter was a barista at a high end coffee shop and grew to love matcha. This is the first one that has lived up to her high expectations of matcha! Its very potent so a little goes a long way. Highly recommend.

    bland

    this matcha was a huge disappointment. i did not find it to have a good flavor for lattes. it is too light and easily overpowered by any type of milk. the bit of flavor that’s comes through lacks the pleasant, robust profile of good matcha.
