About this tea
Jasmine tea is the most popular flower-scented tea in East Asia. Its enchanting, unforgettable aroma is created through an artisanal method of tea scenting that dates back more than 800 years. Jasmine blossoms are gathered during midsummer evenings and spread amongst tea leaves over several successive nights. Because dried tea leaves are hygroscopic, they readily absorb floral essences like jasmine.

Hubei, China

Grown amidst a pristine natural environment, the teas from China's southwestern Hubei province have been known for centuries as a top tea region. We began sourcing teas from this region in the early 2000's and were among the first tea companies to help establish organic certification among the hundreds of family tea farms organized into a co-op system. The sub-tropical continental region has a misty mountain climate, encouraging the tea plants to grow slowly, concentrating their dewy flavor and producing a really special quality not found in common tea farms.

    Afternoon tea

    I happen to go into a restaurant on a gray cold day. I asked for hot tea and they had the jasmine flavored one in their selection of teas. It was such a wonderful special delight to have such a treat as this tea. I had never tasted a jasmine tea with such nice rich, but soft flavor.. I loved it so much. I went onto the website and ordered a whole box..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
