Miyazaki is located in the beautiful region of Kyushu, Japan, which is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, volcanic soils, delicious local cuisines. The region’s particular climate is well suited for green tea cultivation and is one of Japan’s largest organic tea production areas.

Based on an 8oz cup of tea made with suggested steeping method relevant to the tea type. An average cup of coffee contains about 90 – 120 mg / 8oz cup.

Genmaicha is a combination of toasted rice and green tea. The roasted sticky rice adds a sweet and nutty flavor to balance the green tea’s verdant taste. If you love the fresh taste of green teas, our Matcha Genmaicha blends premium matcha with regular Genmaicha for an elevated flavor. 

How should I store Genmaicha?

This toasted rice and green tea doesn't require any special storage, but it’s important to store it properly to protect the quality. You can keep this loose leaf tea in the resealable packaging it came in and store it away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat and strong smells. Make sure to gently press any excess air out of the bag after use.

What is the best way to enjoy Genmaicha?

This toasted rice green tea is a popular blend to enjoy at any time of day due to its lower levels of caffeine. Most green teas naturally contain medium to high amounts of caffeine, but Genmaicha is on the lower side.
