A silky, warming Yunnan Pu’er you can bring everywhere

One of the first teas to travel beyond its native growing region in Yunnan, Pu’er was compressed into cakes to withstand long journeys to places like Tibet and Mongolia, where it was traded for horses and other goods in ancient times.

A compact version of our beloved Pu’er Classic, Pu’er Tuo Cha brings this time-honored tradition to your brewing ritual today. It is harvested in remote Dai, Lahu and Wa ethnic mountain villages in southern Yunnan Province, where heirloom broadleaf tea varietals have developed an unmatched complexity through centuries of seed propagation. Crafted with a bespoke blend of vintages, it has a remarkably warming, woodsy character and an aroma that many liken to petrichor—the smell of earth after a fresh rainfall.

Mellow yet powerful, each individually wrapped cake can be brewed multiple times, offering a flavorful journey in one serving. Take it with you and feel grounded wherever you go.

    This tea is a...

This tea is a true gem. Having been a devoted yerba mate fan for twenty-five years, it became too acidic for me and I searched for a good replacement. Along with trying a few others, I tried this and it was by far the best. Have been drinking this for over three years now. I usually use one cake for two cups of tea, about 12 ounces, then reuse the leaves again the next day with another high quality tea bag of puerh added from another company. Seeing some reviewers here use a cake up to five times, I think I’ll try experimenting with less brewing time on the first round. Truly exquisite, balanced, rich flavor and just enough caffeine to feel energized without the jitters.

    Rich and toasty

I originally tried this tea as a transition from coffee, since there's a similar roasted and rich quality, but that was years ago and I haven't turned back. Very satisfying, and it stands up to a touch of honey, and even half n half!
