Genmaicha is a combination of toasted rice and green tea. The roasted sticky rice adds a sweet and nutty flavor to balance the green tea’s verdant taste. If you love the fresh taste of green teas, our Matcha Genmaicha blends premium matcha with regular Genmaicha for an elevated flavor. 

How should I store Genmaicha?

This toasted rice and green tea doesn't require any special storage, but it’s important to store it properly to protect the quality. You can keep this loose leaf tea in the resealable packaging it came in and store it away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat and strong smells. Make sure to gently press any excess air out of the bag after use.

What is the best way to enjoy Genmaicha?

This toasted rice green tea is a popular blend to enjoy at any time of day due to its lower levels of caffeine. Most green teas naturally contain medium to high amounts of caffeine, but Genmaicha is on the lower side. Our loose leaf Genmaicha is a great tea to brew later in the day when you need a moment to breathe, or as a smooth drink to start your morning.
