Wonderful savory and earthy taste. I steep it a bit longer than the usual 3 minutes for green tea so it has more flavor. It has none of the bitterness of typical green tea if that is of concern.

It's my favorite type of green tea. I have a friend who often brings me from Japan when she visits. But anything I get here in the States nothing compares to what I can get from Rishi or straight from Japan. To me its the perfect strength and flavor and I have been buying it from Rishi for years now. since 2018 I believe.

I love the robust flavor of this tea. I actually combine it with a small amount of Rishi Ruby Oolong tea. The combination makes a tea that is a extra step of flavor that is satisfying and deep.

This tea is normally wonderful, but for some reason this batch has a gross fishy taste to it. Yuck.

I've ordered Houjicha loose leaf from Rishi for years. It's amazing. Has a great taste, particularly since it's roasted. I drink it instead of coffee. Sometimes though, I do add a teaspoon of a good (ground) coffee to it while steeping. It gives it a nice kick. For me, it's much healthier since my bladder seems to not do well with other teas or coffee. My body also likes this tea. So it's the one and only for me.
