About this tea
Dragon Well is a traditional pan-roasted organic green tea, with a pleasant roasted chestnut flavor and low tannin. Our particular Dragon Well is sourced from the remote Xuan'en county of Hubei, China among pine forests and beautiful rolling, rocky hinterlands. Dragon Well is one of many vibrant green teas we source from Xuan'en that support hundreds of tea farming families managing small gardens as part of an organic tea co-op.

Origin

Xuan En

Hubei, China

Grown amidst a pristine natural environment, the teas from China's southwestern Hubei province have been known for centuries as a top tea region. We began sourcing teas from this region in the early 2000's and were among the first tea companies to help establish organic certification among the hundreds of family tea farms organized into a co-op system. The sub-tropical continental region has a misty mountain climate, encouraging the tea plants to grow slowly, concentrating their dewy flavor and producing a really special quality not found in common tea farms.

    Really lovely!!!

I am not a lover of most green teas, but this one is outstanding! It really is sweet and mellow, with excellent flavor and low caffeine. Highly recommend!

    A Favorite

One of my favorite green teas and quite economical because you only need 4 grams for 12 ounces of tea.

Dragon Well is the top of the top!

After purchasing many teas from Rishi over the years, Dragon Well is still one of my all-time favorites. I always come back to this solid best friend, and each time it's a warm delight. I love the mellow, low-tannin, slightly toasted flavor. And organic, too! Maybe it's because "well" is in the name, but I seem to go to this tea every time I want to ground myself or ward off any winter illness. But I also just love it. I plan to never be without this one. Great job, Rishi!!

THE ULTIMATE UTILITY, RISHI, CHINESE, AFFORDABLE, AND HEALTHY GREEN TEA

Rishi's tea selection is the ultimate. Rishi is the Rolls Royce of tea companies. The basic Dragon Well is the Godfather of green tea. I've been drinking it for almost 20 years. I drink 36oz a day made in a french press. I use it as a base for my smoothies. It's lower caffeine but it will still get you wired. I'll drink it cold, I'll drink traditionally in a heavy porcelain tea cup, to pull out the heat. It's mildly earthy, green..with sweet roasted umami hints, a spec of smokiness and extremely low bitterness. It tastes so good. You know it's going to extend your life. I love Chinese tea. Honestly, the Japanese teas are not even in the same universe. my second tea is the Wild Thai. It's economical but phenomenal. Extremely unique and drinkable. I'll take the Thai over the Japanese teas but even that can't compare to Dragon Well.
