Hibiscus Berry Sangria

Cheers to late-summer soirées. This tea-based take on red wine sangria is juicy and joyful. It pairs well with fresh fish tacos or patatas bravas

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp loose leaf Hibiscus Berry tea
  • 4 oz hot water
  • 1 orange, cut into slices, seeds removed
  • 1/2 apple, diced
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup organic orange juice
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • Spanish red wine (750 mL bottle)
  • Ice for serving


Directions

  1. Steep Hibiscus Berry in 4 oz hot water for 5 minutes, then strain and set aside.
  2. Muddle orange slices, diced apple and coconut sugar in a pitcher.
  3. Add orange juice, brandy and the strained tea. Stir to combine, then set in the fridge to chill.
  4. Once chilled, pour in red wine.
  5. Pour over ice and enjoy.
