About This Tea
They use blending techniques that combine different cultivars and vintages to shape a unique taste and quality unlike other matcha and gyokuro producers. Hekisuien is not strictly focused on single-cultivar or single-origin selections, but instead on the uniqueness created by aging and blending vintages of different cultivars from various producers and regions in Uji and Kyoto.
The Matcha Ukitsu blend represents the classic essence and vibrancy of the Kyoto matcha terroirs. Its complexity is derived from aged and blended cultivars. The tencha batches selected for Matcha Ukitsu are particularly strong with core characteristics of Asahi aroma, while the flavor and density are very rich, drawing from the characteristics of Kyotanabe-grown batches.

This gift from a special friend did not have the specific taste I imagined. And I did not have a whisk and could not wait to try it. I doubled the recipe to have about 5 ounces to drink and shook it vigorously in a 20 ounce wide mouth preheated stainless steel container.....and got a nice froth. I found the flavor intriguing and distinct and had this tea every morning until it was gone. The tea was tasty and gave a very nice green tea lift. I am now trying a pricier Rishi matcha offering and will use the whisk I received as a further gift from a very special friend. I've tried about 30 different Rishi teas and I keep ordering more and more. I can't say enough good things about Rishi. Green tea is my favorite, but I've tried the puers, black, white and oolongs, and Rishi has made my tea explorations and adventures nothing but pleasant. This tea was so well packed and sealed and had a beautiful color and lovely energy. The texture was nice and the tea called me to sip and sip and savor!

Rishi was recommended by a friend. Never bought matcha before, had a discount, and the price was just right enough i was willing to risk the dive. Zero complaints what so ever. Flavor is delightful, color is amazing, and i absolutely will be buying again, if not this exact kind, from here at minimun.
