Takasuke Tokoname Kyusu Teapot
About this product
The design was crafted by the artist Mr. Hiroshi Kita, born in 1958. Mr. Hiroshi Kita is renowned as a craftsman who produces kyusu for official Japanese Tea Instructor seminars. The sesame 細 clay mesh hole pattern is actually under copy right by the artist. We prefer the smaller size clay mesh to strain out tea, especially when brewing deeper steamed teas.

This is not my first kyusu. I've been drinking Japanese greens for almost a decade and might have arrived at my 4th or 5th kyusu during this time; 2 have either broken or cracked through the years so 2 remain in use but are not my favorite for everyday use and one more I only use for highest grade teas. The Takasuke kyusu is my smallest one but makes a perfect cup of 6 oz tea, which is the perfect size in my yunomi. It is also perfect for everyday use so there is no fear I'll easily break it. Thank you, Rishi I think I've finally found my favorite kyusu after so many years!

Beautiful kyusu, perfect size. I love that it’s true to Japanese tradition, down to the built-in filter.

This teapot is the perfect size for one cup of tea. It's so cute and keeps the tea hot for a good amount of time. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
