For the best infusions, we recommend brewing this tea in a Tokoname teapot.

We encourage you to experiment with the quantity of tea leaves and the length of the steep time to find your desired brew strength. Varying the water temperature isn't recommended, as water that is too hot will over-extract the bitter components of tea, while water that is too cool might not fully draw out the aromas and flavors of tea.

I've tried other Super Greens, but this has the amazing, eggy flavor that I seek out. The aroma is as satisfying as the taste. I look forward to waking up when I know a cup of this is waiting to be made.

I really enjoyed this tea, it had great flavor and color...up until the point that I didn't. Even though I had it with food, it gave me one of the worst stomach aches I've had in a while. This problem could be entirely personal, but I thought I'd post on the off chance that I could save someone else from my experience. Bottom line: if you're the type of person who sometimes gets sick from raw vegetables, I'd be careful here.

I'am a self proclaimed tea evangelist and advocate, I have ordered teas from various tea houses, tea sommeliers and even directly from a farm in Wazuka, Kyoto Japan. I love Green Teas and Oolongs. I recently ran out of my beloved Ryokucha and went into withdrawals. I've been drinking sencha every day for the past 2 years. By chance I discovered this tea at a local health food store. I DO NOT buy bagged tea, I only buy loose, organic teas. I decided to give it a try and was blown away! I've paid $50 in the past for 1 ounce of high grade kabuse sencha. This tea was the perfect fusion of earthy, oceanic and sweet. The price is very reasonable for the quality. I steeped it for 2 infusions, 30 seconds then 60 seconds at 150 degrees in a kyusu. It was amazing, the aroma was of fresh sweet grass. I never sweeten my tea and I never steep any green teas for longer then 60 seconds or higher than 150 degrees.... I learned that from a well known japanese tea farmer. I would highly recommend this tea for anyone who takes their greens seriously and who, like me, appreciates a high quality tea. In regards to the young womans review who said this tea affected her stomach, it was probably doing her a favor, cleaning her system, diarrhea and a stomach ache are a sign of something needing to be expelled. Quality green teas are powerful doses of antioxidants and micro nutrients, they tend to have a chelating effect on some people when they aren't used to drinking them regularly, and can be misunderstood as a negative reaction instead of a positive one. I'm 36 and look 25, on a regular basis strangers stop me and ask me what I use on my skin, I drink high quality sencha daily. Now that I have been introduced to Rishi tea I will continue to break free of my tea-snobbery and try more of their teas. HAPPY STEEPING!
