In Japan, tea gardens situated above 350m in elevation are considered to be high mountain growing regions. This Yabukita cultivar shincha from Isagawa grows at an elevation of 500m. High mountain gardens experience a greater difference in temperatures between day and night. This dynamic environment creates strong and sturdy tea bushes that produce leaves with a pleasantly brisk body and rich flowery aroma.
