Phoobsering is one of the oldest plantations in the Darjeeling West valley, named after the man who was its first "Sardar" or supervisor when it was established in the mid-1800's. The 240 hectares of tea bushes are shrouded in mist regularly.
The cool mountain air in this valley makes the bushes grow gradually, creating a bright lemony profile in the first flush and a ripe Muscatel character in the second flush.
