Brewing NestPersonal Ceramic Teapot

This is a very well designed and implemented travel set which I use for general purpose brewing of all types of Chinese tea. Although I prefer clay for the looks and feel, I think most Chinese teas taste better when brewed in porcelain or glass. This set is not too thick or too thin, too heavy or too light, so it's suitable for all types of tea from green to black. Much better than a gaiwan, it is drip free and the wooden handles prevent your fingers from being burned when pouring. This is an excellent value from Eilong, a Taiwanese company with an excellent reputation for quality, so there shouldn't be any safety concerns i.e. chemicals, lead, etc. Rishi has only a small selection of tea ware but what they do have is high quality and very carefully chosen. This set is a perfect example and is recommended as either a travel set (includes very nice padded denim carry bag) or as a small all-purpose brewer to use at home as I am doing.

This Brewing Nest is beautifully crafted and packaged. It is perfect for a single cup when you are on the go or traveling. The size is perfect for limited packing space! I love it!

This is the "Eilong Quicker" travel tasting set, and I love it! The strainer does let the occasional leaf through but that's no foul. The cup is smaller than the brewing vessel so you might get an overstepped second cup. It's easy to clean once it cools down. Very handsome and the cloth bag and wood grips make it practical for travel use...provided you have a way of boiling water. Maybe restaurants will let you bring this with your own tea and give you hot water for it.
