Yakishime Tetsuki Samashi
This Yakishime (unglazed natural clay) Tetsuki Samashi (water cooler with handle) was hand crafted by Japanese pottery master Shimizu Genji-san. Water cooling pitchers such as the Yakishime Tetsuki Samashi are an essential tool for making many premium teas as it allows you to cool hot water to the appropriate temperature before pouring it into the teapot. After the tea is infused for the appropriate time you may decant back into the water cooler and use it as a sharing pitcher to divide the tea evenly into each teacup.
