Schizandra Berries, Organic Botanical
Schizandra berries are known as “the fruit of five flavors” in China. It is said to have the five primary elements of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy/pungent. The berries can be infused like a tea and provide a very tart and tasty caffeine-free infusion. The aroma and flavor of Schizandra has distinct notes of cranberry, rose, geranium flowers and citrus. An infusion of Schizandra is blushing pink with a soft body and long lingering fragrance. This rare vine fruit also goes well with a bit of honey.
