Maru Yohen
This classic shaped Yohen (natural ash glaze) teapot was handcrafted by Japanese pottery master Wantanabe Keiichiro in Tokoname, Japan. Maru Yohen exemplifies the pre-side-handled kyusu, when Japanese teaware was clearly influenced by Chinese teapot craftsmen like Jin Shi Heng, who taught his process to Tokoname potters in 1878. The large particle clay is perfectly suited for this simple organic shape. This teapot is fully functional with a Sasame (clay mesh screen), making it perfect for Asian art collectors and tea lovers alike.
Origin: Tokoname, Aichi, Japan
Diameter 3.83"
Height 3.83" (including lid)
Approx. 19 oz by volume
