Makinohara Fukamushi Shincha (First Flush), Japanese Green Tea
Shincha Makinohara is a deep-steamed (fukamushi) sencha from the Makinohara cultivation area in the hills to the west of Shizuoka City. The Makinohara hills are located in a lower elevation zone, famous for high quality and deep-flavored fukamushi sencha. This precious batch of Shincha Makinohara has a rich green and opaque infusion with deep, juicy flavors and a creamy mouthfeel. This Shincha is a great example of a deep-steamed Yabukita varietal sencha with a well-balanced range of umami, milky and sharp-tasting flavors.
