One of the most important black teas from China, Keemun comes from the town of Qi Men in Anhui province. Qi Men was originally a green tea producing area until the black tea process was introduced to the region in the 19th Century. Today, Keemun represents a classic and unique flavor for black tea lovers. Our keemun is the superior grade known as “hao ya” and is made by artisans from Qi Men Town according to the traditional method of manufacture. Its rich flavor is smooth with a deep burgundy infusion with notes of port wine and a tinge of fresh pine smoke.
