Kawane Hatsuzumi (First Flush), Japanese Green Tea
We selected this tea to represent all the fine points of mountain asamushi 1st Flush Sencha made from Japan’s most famous tea bush varietal, Yabukita. This tea has a very well balanced character with tangy, bittersweet sharpness and umami flavor. Kawane Hatsuzumi has a fresh, bright golden and emerald green infusion color. It is rich with deep flavor and an invigorating energy. Hand-made by Mr. Ishiyama-san in Shizuoka 's famous Kawane tea growing area, this tea represents superb artisan quality and Yabukita’s exquisite chartacter. This is one of the best Shizuoka teas we tasted so far this year!
