Kawane Hatsuyamaka (First Flush), Japanese Green Tea
This sencha offers a classic asamushi (light steamed) clear mountain profile. It is hand-made by our friend, Mr. Ishiyama-san in Shizuoka 's famous Kawane tea growing area. We chose this tea for its outstanding bittersweet sharpness that is well balanced with umami flavor and a refreshing brisk hint of citrus. Its bright, golden-green infusion color is indicative of premium quality from Shizuoka's Kawane tea cultivation area situated in a pristine mountain valley famous for great asamushi tea.
Water: 155°F / Leaves: 1 Tablespoon (8 grams) per 8 ounces / First infusion: 45 seconds. Second Infusion: 15 seconds / Ingredients: Green tea. / Origin: Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
