Hon-Yama Asamushi Shincha (First Flush), Japanese Green Tea
Shincha Hon-Yama is a light-steamed (asamushi) sencha from the Hon-Yama cultivation area in the upper valley of the Abe River, north of Shizuoka City. Shincha Hon-Yama has a classic and refreshing mountain sencha profile. Distinctive Yabukita varietal characteristics shine through in this tea’s bright infusion color and well-balanced range of umami, bittersweet and tangy flavors, indicative of high quality sencha of Honyama origin.
