Asatsuyu Chumushi, Morning Dew (First Flush), Japanese Green Tea
A wonderful chumushi (mid-steamed) sencha from Southern Japan’s Kagoshima Prefecture. The Asatsuyu tea bush varietal is one of the first to sprout during the first flush. Asatsuyu is prized for its rich umami flavor and milky mouth feeling and aroma. It is often called natural Gyokuro by farmers because of its vivid green infusion color and naturally high L-theanine content without long duration shading.
