The cooling, alluringly sweet character of vanilla beans perfectly complements Pu-erh tea's cocoa-like sweetness and earthy richness. Premium grades of V. planifolia vanilla beans are blended with enticingly aromatic cassia cinnamon from Vietnam and hints of cooling organic peppermint for a truly decadent taste experience. Rishi Tea artisans blend Pu-erh Vanilla in micro-batches for a consistently rich, luxuriant flavor.

Tasting Notes: Decadent with sweet Saigon Cinnamon, creamy vanilla bean and notes of chocolate

Ingredients: Organic and Fair Trade Certified™ pu-erh tea, organic peppermint, organic cinnamon, organic vanilla bean, organic licorice root.

Additional Info: Pu-erh tea has an ancient past originating in Yunnan, China millennia ago. This rare, rich tasting tea is treasured as a healthful, energizing tonic. Its deep, smooth flavor is created through an artisanal pile fermentation process that transforms sun-dried green tea into ripened, full-bodied Pu-erh tea.

Rishi Tea Blend
Water Temperature: 212°F (boiling)
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 tablespoon per 8 ounces
Steep Time: 5 minutes (1st infusion), 6 minutes (2nd infusion)

We encourage you to experiment with the quantity of tea leaves and the length of the steep time to find your desired brew strength. Varying the water temperature isn't recommended, as water that is too hot will over-extract the bitter components of tea, while water that is too cool might not fully draw out the aromas and flavors of tea.

I had an early morning meeting and was half asleep when I made this tea. Half way through the first cup I was awake and amazingly alert. It has a really nice flavor without the usual pu-erh taste. The mint was a nice touch. I love Rishi pu-erh teas and typically don't like mint but this blend won me over.

This really is one of the best blends that Rishi makes. It's become a staple in my house - when I run low, it's time to get some more. It really is a great tea after a heavy meal or in place of the mid-morning coffee.

I originally bought this blend as a last minute add-on when I needed more pu-erh ginger blend. I usually blend the plum berry white tea with the ginger, but was intrigued by the vanilla flavor. I was THRILLED when I learned it had mint in it! I love mint tea and this combination with the vanilla is perfect! I hope this stays around a long time! I definitely be purchasing this again by the pound!

this tea is labeled pu'erh vanilla and the front of package notes cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate. Sounds great - only when I brewed up a cup and sipped did I realize the strong mint presence. My bad, I didn't read the ingredients - but mint is a really strong flavor not to call out if the package is calling out the major flavor notes on the front. Disappointed - not what I was looking for $10+ dollars later.
