A special reserve for Earl Grey lovers, we infuse our top grades of Yunnan Dianhong black tea with the essential oil pressed from real bergamot citrus fruits grown in Calabria, Italy to yield our Earl Grey Supreme blend. We select only bergamot oil made during the first pressing of the year, around November-December, which has the most fragrant perfume and floral aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes: Rich, smooth black tea with the lofty floral and citrusy high notes of Italian bergamot.

Ingredients: Organic black tea, essential bergamot oil.

Rishi Tea Blend
Water Temperature: 212°F (boiling)
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 tablespoon per 8 ounces
Steep Time: 4 minutes

We encourage you to experiment with the quantity of tea leaves and the length of the steep time to find your desired brew strength. Varying the water temperature isn't recommended, as water that is too hot will over-extract the bitter components of tea, while water that is too cool might not fully draw out the aromas and flavors of tea.

Rishi's Earl Grey Supreme is BY FAR THE BEST Earl Grey tea I have EVER tasted (and since Earl Grey is my favorite tea, I've tasted A Lot of them over the years..).
So to everyone who might consider buying this tea, I say Most Definitely give it a try - you Won't regret it (and you'll probably keep coming back to Rishi's for it - just like I do.. :) ).

This was the very first loose leaf tea I ever tried and it got me hooked. It has a nice strong citrus flavor without being overpowering and tastes great with or without milk; even honey wont mask the bergamont flavor as I've found honey does to other teas.
Over all, I would recommend this to a friend, its a good tasting tea that will wake you up in the morning.

I'm not too big on Earl, but this stuff is just awesome! Not too keen on citrus teas either, but the Bergamot in this one is perfect, IMO.

No need for sugar or milk. Not bitter. Just delightful. One of my favorite, now. Kinda a shame, because I'll get a hankering for some Earl out and about, and they never are as good as Supreme.
Owner Response: We appreciate how very well-stated your love of Earl Grey Supreme is, and thank you for your expression!

I am not a tea expert, but I am a long time Earl Grey lover and Rishi's Earl Grey has inspired me to drop a line here. After finishing up the one pound bag of Rishi's Earl Grey supreme, I can safely say it is the best. The problem with Earl Grey is that most tea blenders use Bergamot oil as a dressing to fancy-up their low quality teas. Don't get me wrong, there are some really fancy black teas that should never be ruined with Bergamot. Rishi has found the sweet spot when it comes to the quality of tea that should be made into Earl Grey, and I am thankful for that.
